Christine Grant is a consultant, writer, and adjunct faculty member at Western Washington University’s Institute for Energy Studies.  As a 2011-2012 Stevens Fellow, Christine traveled extensively throughout Europe and Japan experiencing, researching, and writing about the world’s most bike-friendly cities.

Shift is a blog about her personal travels and thoughts on transportation, urban form, the environment, and other topics that interest her. Most of the posts are from her 2011 – 2012 Fellowship–which included a solo bike tour from from Copenhagen to Zurich.

Her consulting clients include: the Downtown Bellingham Partnership, Forth Mobility, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, the American Farmland Trust, Seattle City Light, the Port of Seattle, Cascade Bicycle Club, Waste Management, and numerous West Coast municipalities. She holds a B.A., with honors, in Environmental Studies from Wellesley College.
